eBikeGo arm Vajram Electric to setup EV manufacturing facility
In the EV rental space, eBikeGo currently has over 2500 active fleets and has collected about 1 petabyte of data.
eBikeGo has set up a manufacturing facility through its subsidiary Vajram Electric to manufacture its EVs, Muvi and Velocipedo.
The Vajram Electric Business Unit was established to meet eBikeGo's manufacturing needs. With its in-house manufactured vehicles, Vajram Electric aims to share the vision of its parent company, eBikeGo, and strengthen the fragmented EV supply chain in the country.
Irfan Khan, founder and CEO, eBikeGo said, "A dedicated quality EV manufacturing unit is the need of the hour and Vajram Electric is the first and a crucial step towards achieving this goal. Vajram Electric will offer modular, purpose-built EVs to solve the future of mobility.”
Through Vajram Electric, eBikeGo aims to become a resilient EV OEM as a service to address the current shortcomings of the EV Industry and to pave the way for future production. A fully integrated EV ecosystem will be developed by Vajram Electric with cutting-edge technology and business intelligence. It will develop a 2-wheeler power train that enables a variety of vehicle configurations.
Vajram Electric will manufacture multiple product portfolios for both the Indian and international markets. The company integrates horizontally with eBikeGo and accesses mature B2B and B2B2C markets.
